i noticed that when using the oData tool, that i am missing the scroll bar on the right hand side, I am unable to select the columns as a result.

One thought is that you can get the result set in descending order of the ActualEnd field and just take the first result in that set. You can do a Order By in your Rest call.

Hi, I'am creating a new query for the account form load event. the Idea is when the form load get the maximum ActualEnd from phoneCall activiti for to know how many days have passed since his last phone call.

I will compare the differente between ActualEnd and the current Date this should return days and then set the dayssincelastcall field in AccountSet.

I have 2 entities, contact and account opening application, with a many to many relationship between them. A contact can apply for as many accounts as he want and an account can have as many holders (contact).

I want to get all the account holders (contacts) for a particular account opening application. In the query designer, I choose ContactSet as my entity then I choose the many to many relation. In the filter criteria I am expecting to see the account opening application fields however I am seeing the contact fields.

How can I get all the contacts? Does it have to be a 2 step process; get all the contact guids then get the contacts?

It doesn't show up for me on the SiteMap even though I tried importing your latest solution many times and specified the option of overwriting all customizations. Could you please send me just that part of the SiteMap xml that I can go ahead and update on my own unmanaged SiteMap component?

I have a CRM 2011 Rollup 6 on premise installation. I can use OQD to design an OData query but always get a Security Exception when I try to execute it. The Show In Browser button does work just fine.

These are the exception details:

Hi Bob, in the current version the execute does not work when using CRM Online. this is resolved in the next version. Show in Browser was added to accommodate this and is just as efficient, Just remember to turn off Feed reading View in IE under Internet Options->Content Tab->Feeds and Web Slices Setting and then uncheck Turn on fFeed reading View.

With regards geospatial in CRM you would probably just create a custom entity that holds this data and then retrieve it like any other entity. I haven't seen any geospatial primitive types in CRM before, usually just lat/long co-ordinates.

This really is a great tool. One issue though, the fields are displayed in schema name order (I think) but are displayed in dispaly name order. The result in my system at least, is that the order looks random! and it's really difficult to find a particular field.

Hi Rhett,

First, thanks for providing this tool - it's a great way to get jump started in doing these OData queries. I'm running CRM 2011 Online and when I attempt to execute a query, I get the following error message:

Security error.

But I can see the results when I click the "Show In Browser" button.

Have you had any experience attempting to do an OData query with geospatial data? I did see some proposals for OData exposing geospatial info: http://www.odata.org/blog/2011/5/3/geospatial-data-support-in-odata

And I see that there's a CTP of the WCF Data Services supporting geospatial data: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astoriateam/archive/2011/10/17/using-geospatial-data.aspx

Is geospatial information even available from the CRM?

I'm looking to query my entity set by providing a lat/long coordinate and finding all enties that are a user defined distance from that point.
